Matching

Megan loves to dress herself and pick out her outfits everyday. Because she was coming up with very interesting outfits, I explained to her the whole concept of matching. I wasn't sure if she would actually get it or really care....but I was wrong. She's gone way overboard with matching. Not only do her clothes now have to be the same color, but her binky, her sippy cup, the toys she plays with, the blankets she uses, the books she wants me to read to her all now have to be the same color. Usually her color of choice is pink which makes it easy....
but occasionally she picks a different color. This is her "green" day. What you can't see in the picture is that her green pants were dirty so she went and found a pair of Jordan's green underwear to put on over her diaper to wear for the day. Luckily we didn't have anywhere to go that day.

Easter/Birthday Celebrations

I can't remember if Easter has fallen so close to my birthday in years past, but it was a very eventful day yesterday having 2 birthday parties and 2 Easter celebrations all in the same day.  I got to spend the day with my favorite people, eat my favorite foods and watch my children smiling and having fun all day long.  Andrew's mom made me my favorite cake and my mom made me peanut butter pie.  Even the weather was beautiful which was a miracle condsidering the very wet, cold spring we've had so far.  I guess you could say it was simply the perfect day.

Megan was cracking us up because she would only put pink eggs in her pail.  She did give in and picked up a couple of blue ones, but had second thoughts and promptly threw them on the grass for someone else to pick up.

I guess I've reached the age where it's easier to light my birthday candles with a blow torch rather than a match.

This picture made me laugh because Megan's pail was so heavy she couldn't even lift it and her cheeks are stuffed with candy.

A Day at Grandma's

While I was at the beach last weekend, the kids spent a day at Grandma Erin's with their cousins.  Holly took some pictures of the kids and it was fun for me to see these on Facebook while I was away, missing my kids and wondering what they were up to.  Isn't technology great?

Such a loved little girl

Alexander and Jordan are 6 weeks apart.  It's crazy that our little babies have now grown up into 5 year olds, soon to be kindergartners.  Where has the time gone?
I love how all of Megan's eggs are pink.

Watching expectantly for the garbage truck.
There he is!!!!!
Good bye garbage truck!

Beach Getaway

Last weekend we had a Mother/Daugthers getaway to Lincoln City, Oregon.  The weather wasn't the greatest, but we had a blast eating way too much food, laughing our heads off, doing crafts, watching the first season of Drop Dead Diva, shopping and just being together.  Here are some pictures of our fun trip....

Goodbye beautiful Oregon coast....until we meet again!
