Fun-filled weekend

Andrew and Jordan had their first camping trip this past weekend for the Stake Fathers/Sons outing. Jordan was SO excited. He packed his backpack the day before and wore it all day. When Andrew put Jordan down to bed in the tent he took out a special glow stick and they read "Danny and the Dinosaur Go Camping." Jordan has been talking about it ever since and now when I ask him who is favorite person is (which has always been me, and that's why I ask) now Jordan replies, "Daddy, because he takes me camping." I'm going to have to come up with something pretty exciting to get first place again.

I like how Jordan is throwing rocks into the river right by where Uncle Adam is fishing. Needless to say, they didn't catch anything.

I had my birthday on Sunday. My mom had us over for dinner because Andrew was scheduled to work at the hospital, but luckily he got called off so he got to come too.

I just love watching my kids play on Grandma's swing. It brings back many sweet memories from my own childhood. It was a nice, relaxing evening.

Primary Activity

This isn't the best picture, but I wanted to document Jordan's first primary activity, a pancake breakfast with his teacher. The reason I wanted to document this is because of Andrew's reaction to this activity, not so much the activity itself.

Me: Andrew, can you go take Jordan to the church? They're having an activity for primary.
Andrew: You mean you just want me to drop him off? I'm not supposed to stay?
Me: Yeah, you know...a primary activity, without parents.
Andrew: Do you think he's ready for that?
Me: Andrew... it's at the church...with his teacher...and it's only an hour.

Andrew ended up hanging around the church for so long that by the time he came home it was almost time to go pick him up. A little overprotective don't you think...but that's why I love him!!

Easter Egg Hunt

Megan would put a candy in her basket, then one in her mouth...basket, mouth, basket, mouth. We were pretty amazed with how many jelly beans that little girl could fit in her mouth.

As you can see, not one hard-boiled egg ended up in their baskets. Jordan just played with them and Megan would pick it up, see it wasn't candy and then hide it somewhere else.

Enjoying the stash!

Easter Eggs- A Story in Pictures

A few days and a couple of baths later...she still has traces of blue egg dye on her face!
