Fun times with Daddy

We got snow on a Saturday, which was perfect since Andrew was off work and could help the kids make the biggest snowman in the neighborhood.

Jordan needed to make something with tools for cub scouts so Andrew helped Jordan and Megan make birdhouses.  They had fun hammering them together and are excited to put them in our backyard to see what new friends will come to visit them.

Just can't get enough of this little guy

Austin is growing every day and has a hearty appetite to keep him going.  I started him on solids a few weeks early because he was waking up every 2 hours at night to eat.  He loved food from the very first bite and has loved everything I've offered him.  When he eats, he gets his arms and legs flapping because he's so excited.  I learned very quickly to keep my hands away from his feet because the first few times I fed him he kicked the bowl right out of my hand and food went flying everywhere.  Austin also loves his bath and would probably stay in there all day if I would let him.  He also loves making bubbles and is chewing on anything and everything he can get his hands on.  We just love him to pieces and can't get enough of this little guy who always makes us smile.  I'm trying to enjoy each stage because I know before I know it he'll be walking out the door to go to school.  Why, oh why do they have to grow up so fast?????

Great to be 8!!!

Jordan reached the big milestone birthday and turned 8-years old, even though I told him he wasn't allowed to.  We celebrated with family and went to Super Jump to run around with all the cousins.  Being 8, Jordan now gets to participate in Cub Scouts, which he is very excited about.  It also meant he was able to be baptized.  It was a very special day that we shared with our family and friends.  This is what Jordan wrote in the primary baptism journal about this joyous experience..."On Saturday I was baptized.  I had fun there.  The water was very warm.  I felt so happy.  My friends and my whole family came.  It was a very special day."  Yes, I think Jordan would agree...it is sure great to be 8!!!
