Jordan turned 7 even though his mom told him he wasn't allowed to. The festivities spanned a whole week, and started out with breakfast in bed on his birthday. He had requested it the night before, but had to wait in bed a little longer than usual as he's my early riser and woke up at 5. Every 20 minutes or so, he would come out and ask if his breakfast was on it's way. I think we held him off until 6:30 or so. Luckily, we have a portable DVD player that kept him entertained while he waited.
Later that day we had a birthday party with friends, followed by a party with the Stout clan on Sunday where Grandma Erin and Grandpa James gave him a special invitation to go on an "ice cream date" with them later in the week. We ended the fesivities with a birthday party on the following Saturday with the Bolles clan to celebrate the 4 January birthdays. All of these celebrations have left Megan feeling a little overly excited about her birthday, which she now talks about constantly....too bad it's not until June!!!!
