The kids met their new cousin, baby Leena for the first time tonight. They just couldn't get enough of this tiny little baby, not even a week old. Luckily, Leena has 3 brothers and so she was used to all the bumping and jostling that was inflicted upon her. Jordan decided it's time for us to have a new baby and asked if we could go get one tomorrow...if only it were that easy!!!

4th of July at the Cabin
We spent 4th of July weekend at the cabin this year, which is always a fun time. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and spent the weekend doing all our favorite things at the cabin...horseback riding, playing games, hiking, swimming at the lake and being with family. Here are some pictures of our adventures:
Battleship is a fun game to play, but I'm not sure if it's so fun to play first thing in the morning, which comes awfully early for Jordan. Good thing Andrew's a morning person too.
A tree fell on the swingset and bent it all up, but the kids still managed to find a way to play on in it.
Baby Taylor has made it to the top of my kid's favorite things list. Jordan likes to make him smile and Megan likes to scrutinize him and then mimic what he does...since she still insists that SHE is a baby too.
I took this picture of Megan, not really knowing where she was headed with her squirt gun. Grandma Sally was pretty surprised when she discovered she was the target.
Jordan found a little friend at the lake. Luckily Grandma Sally wasn't around at this moment since she is deathly afraid of snakes.
There was a fire burning the whole time we were there because we were burning lots of brush. Jordan lived off a diet of marshmallows and hot dogs. It was funny watching him roast his hot dogs, which at times were several feet away from the fire.
Jordan's first ride with Mommy! My allergies weren't bad this time at all. I found the secret this trip...just have my dad saddle the horse for me and just make it a point to ride the horse without ever touching it. It worked great this time!! In the past few years, horseback rides have left me incapacitated the rest of the day.

Just had to throw in some cousin cuteness in here!!
We got home from the cabin the night of the 4th, just in time to see our culdesac's firework extravaganza. Megan was terrified and wouldn't calm down until I had shut all the windows and closed the blinds. She eventually did get used to them and enjoyed watching them through her bedroom window. Andrew told her they were fairies and that did the trick.
